The statue captures Amitabha in a serene seated pose, with his right hand in front of his chest, fingers entwined in a gesture of welcome (Raigo-in), and his left hand lowered in a similar gesture, symbolizing his vow to save all beings. The piece bears marks of time and devotion: there is a repair on the elbow, a significant crack on the back, and some areas where the paint has chipped away. Despite these signs of age, including general wear and dirt, the statue's spiritual presence remains undiminished. It comes housed in an original wooden box, which, despite bearing its own history of cracks, chips, dirt, and wear, serves as a protective guardian of this sacred figure.
