【Important notes】 ・International Buyers: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. ・Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These duties are paid to your country's customs office and not to us. Prompt payment of these fees is necessary to ensure delivery of your item. ・We deeply value your understanding regarding the blade's export process. The duration to secure an export permit might extend up to a month, and shipping, based on the destination, could take an additional month. In some instances, sea freight may be chosen, which might lengthen the delivery period to 2-3 months. ・Considering the diligence required for export permit procedures, we'd like to emphasize the importance of commitment after purchase. If the auction is annulled post-confirmation, there's a need to retract the said permit. In such situations, to cover administrative efforts, a fee equating to 10% of the auction's final amount would be requested via PayPal. ・We kindly request bids from those who fully acknowledge these conditions. Please be informed that the original registration document is required to be returned to official authorities, so a copy will be provided with the sword. 【Product details】 Presenting a Wakizashi from either the late Edo or Meiji period, this blade is unsigned and comes with a Koshirae from moden (showa period) featuring a unique family crest. The crest is named 'Five Gourds with Cherry Blossoms,' symbolizing the familial connection of its bearer. While the design prominently displays a cherry blossom motif, the representation of the five gourds may be abstract or stylized. The scabbard showcases a refined nashiji finish which is a lacquer technique characterized by a pear-like texture created by sprinkling fine metallic powder over a lacquer surface. The blade, including its tang, measures a total of 75 cm. Registered under the firearms and swords law, it carries certificate number 19121 from Shizuoka Prefecture. Specifics of the registration detail a blade length of 57.5 cm, a curvature of 1.2 cm, one peg hole, and an issuance date of December 5, 1958 (Showa 33). While in remarkable condition, slight wear, including minor scratches, can be found. We recommend examining the provided photographs for a comprehensive view. Dimensions in scabbard: L 103 cm ・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid. Thank you for your interest, and happy bidding!
