A fine porcelain dish with metal rim, measuring 14cm in diameter and weighing 158g, decorated in underglaze blue with Fenghuang guarding a precious object. Marked to the underside in underglaze blue with Nei Fu (Imperial Household / Inner Court) as a tribute mark. Originally these wares were made to order by the Vietnamese palace and produced in China to be shipped on command to the Vietnamese capital Hue, thus is derived the name "Bleu de Hue". Beginning in the 19th century, the mark was also used on export porcelain to Vietnam outside of the royal patronage. Condition: Some small damages to the rim (chips and one ensuing short hairline), reinforced with a metal rim. This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
