WÜSTHOF is a family business, which was founded back in 1814 in Solingen, Germany. Today, our forged knives bearing the famous Trident ("Dreizack") logo are manufactured at 3 production plants in Solingen, which has become known as the "City of Blades". Our logo is the Trident ("Dreizack"), which was registered as a trademark at the imperial Patent Office in Berlin back in 1895. This logo is now protected by law in almost all countries worldwide.
