For the enthusiasts of flying heritage it was a hard weekend. With the departure of the last KLM Cityhopper Fokker 70 aircraft, on Sunday morning 10/24/2017, from Schiphol airport, the last Dutch-made aircraft in the Netherlands was gone. Only the monument (the tail of an F70 - standing on a pedestal), unveiled that Sunday morning at Schiphol-Oost, reminds us of the close link between Fokker and KLM -the company operating many Fokkers since 1920.
