German Third Reich Dagger for officers of the Kriegsmarine model 1938
Dagger for officers of the German Kriegsmarine, worn in the period Third Reich from 1938.
The dagger is in used but good condition.
Swastika on the pommel is censored, but the swastika is clearly present, not sanded or anything like that.
The grip is celluloid on timber and undamaged, with gold-coloured thread winding as was done in those days. The thread seems to be repaired but is fully present.
The unlock button on the knuckle -guard works 100%.
The blade is etched on both sides and bearing the logo of the manufacturer: Carl Eickhorn in Solingen.
This manufacturers logo, also called "over the shoulder", was applied in the period 1941-1942 by Eickhorn. (See image in book of Ralf Siegert)
The blade is not sharpened and has no damage.

The sheath is in good condition, only minor wear, please see pictures.
The brass sheath has a small dent on the front at the bottom, this is common and is not bothersome.
