German Prussian officer's Imperial Guard infantry Sabre, model 1889.
The sabre has a bronze hinge-fold-out hilt with a picture of a crowned eagle with a sceptre and a sword in its claws, on his chest the monogram of kaiser Wilhelm.
The handle is covered in leather and copper wire wrap, in the sword blade a stamp of the company Carl Eickhorn (Solingen).
Country of origin Germany
Age/period; 1889-1918.
Length 95.5 cm.
Maker; Carl Eickhorn (Solingen).
Condition; In good, original, used condition, the leather on the handle is in very good condition, maybe replaced? If this is the case, this is very professionally done, see pictures. No sheath.
