Wonderful LARGE Danish design classic! The Panthella table lamp was designed by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen. This is the first model, type 23430, with the switch on the foot instead of in the cord. This famous vintage Danish designer lamp is in good condition considering its age. The shade is pristine, that's the most important thing. One minuscule (less than 1 mm) dot, can be seen in the photo. The foot shows a couple of small cracks (visible in the photos), not disturbing whatsoever. A frequently occurring problem with these lamps is that the shade holder melts down or damages through heat exposure from the lamp. This was also the case for this lamp, and so this part has been replaced by a brand new one. The whole is good, an eye-catcher and fully functional. Everything is clearly depicted in the photos. Details: The Louis Poulsen Panthella is fitted with an E27 lamp holder. It is advised to use a bulb of maximum 75 watts. This will get you the highest output from the lamp. The light of the Louis Poulsen Panthella shines both downwards, through the hemispherical shade, as well as all around, thanks to the material the reflectors are made of. This soft, diffuse light contributes to creating a cosy atmosphere!
