Painter Edmond Valès (1918-2001), oil on panel, landscape of Azrou, Morocco, in very good condition, despite small friction marks in the corners (the 2 bottom corners and the top left corner). E. Valès: born in PAU (France); after attending the school of fine arts in Nantes, then the National School of Fine Arts in Paris, he became a student pilot of the American Air Force during the Second World War and studied at the Walt Disney studios. He returned to France in 1946, where he obtained a position as a drawing teacher in Morocco at Poeymirau High School in Meknes. Commander of arts and letters and officer of the academic palms, he exhibited throughout his career in Morocco and France. He taught at Paul Vatèry High School in Meknes until 1978.
