Beautiful richly executed Neo-Gothic mass chalice on six-lobbed foot. The chalice (calix in Latin) is a chalice, which belongs to the vasa sacra (the sacred vessel) of the liturgical vessels. During the Holy Mass, the chalice is used to do the mass wine to be consumed, which becomes the blood of Jesus Christ after consecration. Because the chalice is thus involved in the part of mass that is considered the most sacred, most chalices are particularly rich and lovingly decorated.
