Ico Parisi for MIM - rosewood desk. 1958, Italy (Rome). Desk designed by Luisa and Ico Parisi. Produced in 1958 for MIM, this desk combines excellent design and durability. A great example of Italian modernist design. The manufacturing hallmark was created in the 1960s by the founder of MIM S.p. A., Dr. Ennio Fazioli, who has been a leader in furniture making for decades in Italy. The wooden part is completely veneered in fine rosewood. The supporting structures are made of aluminium. The desk can also be made into a very elegant table by removing the drawers and the front panel, which are fixed with few screws. Rediscovered at a solicitor's office in Venice, the desk is in very good condition with small signs of age, as highlighted in the photos. The key of the first drawer is not available.
