Philips - 2511 - Rádio a válvulas
This Philips radio is only offered very rarely!!!
The radio is still set to the 110V, which was the usual voltage during WWII.
The radio has been tested with a transformer of 220V to 110V: see photos.
This Philips radio has a known and confirmed (see the last photos) war history.
Here's what I know about the former French owner:
..... la radio est encore réglée sur le 110V, elle à été remisée à l'époque et se trouve toujours dans la famille. Semble complet et intact sans avoir subit de modification. Mon père m'à raconté l'avoir vu fonctionner, les allemands qui occupaient la maison
au 1 Rue du Val 50310 Le HAM (see photos), l'on utilisé pendant la seconde guerre mondiale (World War Two).
The occupation of northern France lasted from June 22, 1940 until its liberation in August 1944.
Has been in the attic for 75 years.
Radio communication played a very crucial role during WWII!
Perhaps this radio was submitted in the Netherlands in 1943 (see photos surrender) and then used by the German army during WW2 to receive crucial messages from the motherland.
Confirmation: history Le Ham during WWII: see last photo or WWW. normandie44lamemoire.com/2014/10/30/le-ham/
The radio will be shipped very well in special packaging!
