A marvellous old Delft Blue tile tableau depicting the Night Watch by Rembrandt van Rijn 1606 - 1669.
Made after the famous painting of the Night Watch which hangs in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and was made in 1642.
A depiction of the Night Watch, the deployment of the company under the orders of captain Frans Banning Cocq with lieutenant Willem Ruitenburg next to him.
The tile tableau consists of six tiles of 15 x 15 cm in a wooden frame in perfect condition. Made by De Kroon in Delft and is signed with a crown and ‘Delfts’.
Hand-painted blue and made in Holland. It has the painter’s initials ‘H.T.’.
Can be used as a wall decoration.
Six wonderful tiles made of Delft Blue with hand-painting, 15 x 15.3 cm. The tiles are fully intact, in a lovely frame, and in perfect condition.
Dimensions: 51 x 35 x 2.5 cm, including the frame.
It weighs 4.8 kilograms.
In very good to perfect condition.
Will fit any interior, timeless.
It will be thoroughly packaged and shipped with Track & Trace via PostNL and with registration.
