Painter Jochem de Graaf was born in 1954 and now lives in Amersfoort (surroundings), where he also works. The self-taught Jochem de Graaf has one passion: “Painting”. Like any painter, Jochem de Graaf also has a source of inspiration, namely humans! Jochem de Graaf includes humans in his paintings in a somewhat abstract way. The way of working combined with the use of materials give the paintings of Jochem de Graaf a special dimension. The relief shows a huge depth! This is emphasised by means of light and shadow action. Jochem de Graaf also likes to paint flowers. In particular, roses, sunflowers and tulips. Jochem de Graaf paints mainly with full, warm colours. Regularly a landscape creates an opportunity for new ideas. Jochem de Graaf also likes to create abstract paintings. This work is from a private collection.
