This tin was designed especially for the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Vereenigde Blikfabrieken: Verblifa (1888-1963) The tin has 20 sides, known as an Icosahedron. The sides of the triangle display three striped shells on a grey background. Each point features 2 half arms of a starfish. The 20-sided tin is assembled in such a way that the five arms of the starfish come together. The shells are pressed into the tin. The underside of the tin features the famous Escher logo combined with the anniversary years of Vereenigde Blikfabrieken. The exterior of the tin is in absolute mint condition (like new). The inside of the tin is in near mint condition (features a few tiny dark spots – couldn’t be captured on the photo). A great opportunity to buy this tin in such an excellent condition. A similar Icosahedron by M.C.Escher was sold at Christie's Amsterdam on March 13, 2012 for € 6000, - Euro. A tin from the same series is on display at the Escher Museum in The Hague.
