Double-barrelled hammerless Collath shotgun. The rifle is in neat, used condition. It cocks and closes neatly without slack and internally the (steel!) barrels are still quite smooth with only some light pitting. Unfortunately, the barrels also have some light pitting on the outside, but the barrels were professionally blued again quite recently by a Liège gunsmith. The rifle is made by the German gunmaker W. Collath from Frankfurt and has German black powder test bench stamps. Collath's hammerless system and lock are something unique, as is Calibre 3 Collath (similar to cal. 16 gauge) that the rifle is chambered in.
