Vintage Reproduction "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido" (東海道五十三次), Hoeido Edition (保永堂版) These hand-printed, limited-quantity woodblock prints from the 1960s and 1980s are highly regarded for their quality. - Technique: Traditional, All Hand-Printed Woodblock (古法純手摺木版画) - Publisher: Bijutsu-sha (美術社) - Reprinted Period: Showa Period (1960-1989) - Size: Woodblock Print: 18.5 x 26 cm / Mounting Paper: 24 x 32 cm / Fabric Case: 27 x 36 x 7 cm - Presentation: The woodblock prints are affixed to backing papers and housed in a fabric case with toggle closures for storage. Accompanied by a commentary book (in Japanese only). Condition: - The series is complete with all 55 prints. - There are several wrinkles, blemishes, folds, and some stains. - Heavy stains are present on the backing papers of the 9th collection, "Yui" and "Okitsu". - The paper folders for the 8th and 9th collections differ in color. - The fabric case shows signs of staining, wear, and dirt. - Please refer to the photos for a detailed assessment of the condition before bidding.
