2015 Aglianico Beneventano IGT is an interesting label proposed by the Campania winery Masseria Frattasi, an important production pearl that offers organic terroir wines. Quoted by the ancient Greek playwright Plato the Comedian, this red has a name that derives from the Greek word smoked. A name that is not accidental, given that the wine is obtained by drying the grapes which gives it a smoky flavour. The result of the vinification of pure Aglianico, this label comes from the fruits of the vines grown on a soil rich in clay and limestone, planted at a height ranging from 500 meters to 600 meters above sea level. After a meticulous manual harvest carried out in the second ten days of November, the grapes are dried in an outdoor fruit cellar. Subsequently, a red winemaking process follows. Finally, Kapnios Benevento Aglianico IGT is first aged in French oak barriques for 18 months, then matures in the bottle for a long period. The final product is a label with a full and balanced sip. A warm, juicy red with a satisfying finish.
2020 Guidalberto by Tenuta San Guido is a great red wine classified as Toscana IGT. It comes from Tenuta San Guido in Tuscany, in the splendid countryside of Bolgheri. Here, the climate mitigated by the proximity to the sea and the hills that protect the vineyards from the wind are crucial to keeping you healthy and correctly ripened. Guidalberto Tenuta San Guido wine is produced using 60% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and 40% Merlot grapes. These vines of French origin, now widespread throughout the world, have found in this part of Tuscany the conditions to express themselves at their best, giving life to an exceptional, well-structured and balanced wine, with a great capacity for research. Revenge is done during the month of September. Fermentation takes place in a container, while refinement begins in wooden barrels and is completed in the bottle. This wine which stands out for its intensity, elegance and persistence is the best characteristic of the main port. It is an elegant and intense wine, born from the desire to produce a unique Sassicaia wine, combined with Merlot grapes. After aging for 15 months in barrels, if pressed it releases a bouquet of berries, coffee, spices and Mediterranean scrub. The finish is fruity, full, solid and persistent. Equipped with great balance, he has excellent investment capacity.
