Antigo Egito, Pré-dinástico Prata amuleto de Taweret, a deusa hipopótamo da gravidez e da maternidade - 2.5 cm

- Taweret is the mothergoddes/goddes of protection at birth and the first nursing period. Therefore she was depicted as a pregnant hippo, an animal that is know for its care of her offspring.

- Silver was rare in ancient Egypt, more precious than gold. Imported from western Asia, it continued to be rare, and on lists of valuables, items of silver were listed above those of gold until the New Kingdom.
