Filling level: neck, excellent label, excellent capsule, bottle in perfect condition, stored perfectly in my air-conditioned cellar.
Caroni 21 is a very complex blend, composed of barrels of rum distilled in 1996, which are part of the stock of barrels of the Caroni Distillery found by Luca Gargano in 2004. They are the last rums produced starting from 100% local molasses, deriving from the last sugar canes grown in Trinidad. In fact, cultivation had totally disappeared after the bankruptcy of the Caroni Sugar Refinery and the distillery in 2003. Tropical aging brought it to an angel share of 80%.
