Meteorite Hammadah al Hamra 346 (ex Ghadamis meteorite) proposed is a complete individual chondrite L6 with fresh fusion crust and contraction cracks visible. This specimen is semi-oriented, it shows signs of orientation with marked rear edges. the front of this specimen tends to be rounded and the rear is flat and bumpy. weight: 246 g Shock stage: S5 Weathering grade:W0 Certificate of authenticity is included. On August 26, 2018, a large fireball was widely seen and heard around the sparsely populated southern district of Jabal al Gharbi, Libya. Hundreds of freshly melted crusted stones, totaling more than 100 kg, were discovered in early 2019, scattered over several kilometers, approximately 95 km southwest of Ash Shuwayrif. The stones resulting from this possible fall were marketed under the name Ghadamis before their official classification in the meteorite bulletin and the official name Hammadah al Hamra 346 (or Hah 346) was given to the meteorite. HaH 346 or Ghadamis is classified as an L6 chondrite with alteration grade 0. Shock melt veins can be found and the matrix contains plagioclase, chromite, merrillite, troilite, taenite and kamacite. On August 26, 2018, a large fireball was widely seen and heard around the sparsely populated southern district of Jabal al Gharbi, Libya.
