Two older bottles of Jasnières ' Les Rosiers' by Eric Nicolas, Domaine de Bellivière, vintage 2003.
Excellent labels, fully intact capsules and great fill level.
2003 was, together with 1997, one of the warmest years in the Loire Valley, making the Jasnières silicium microclimate more than interesting. In this type of years the chenin tends to hold a lot of sugar, making it impossible to make perfectly dry wines.
It was Curnonsky who said that ONCE in a centrury Jasnières produces the best wine in the world.
Was that in 2003?
These botlles have been kept in the same natural (NOT concrete!) cellar since acquisition (first owner!)
To drink now or to keep lifelong in your private cellar.
Will be carefully shipped by our national postal service.
