This is a rare bed cover dating back to the end of the 19th Century.
It has only recently seen the daylight after all the decennia left in the
wedding armoire.
It is the classic design which I find has always been one the nicest bedcovers.
It has been knitted and shows roses set in a square frame of pompoms.
The border is framed with pointed scallops and pompoms sitting on the
surface. The edgings again have a scalloped finish.
A superb decorative piece and ideal to just deck the surface of the bed,
or alternatively it can be used as a cover on a round table or even as throw
on the shoulder of a sofa.
