( 1873-1964 ). In 1959 Jack de Rijk holds his first exhibition in the famous artist cafe EIJLDERS on Leideseplein: rave reviews and excellent sales results, followed by various offers from major galleries. After several trips through Europe in the early 1960s, he became member of Arti et Amicitae in 1963 and his work is purchased by the Stedelijk Museum, among others.
