I have made an special effort to style this magnificent plain linen table linen into a dinner table setting as it merit its first appearance. It is extremely rare these days to get first of all a length of 3m10 as most long table linen as cut up to make shorter lengths and with the remnants napkins are made, which i think is total sacrilege and unwarranted, and secondly a plain linen table linen which are so very useful. However if the successful bidder wishes to have initials added we can arrange this. We work with a small Lyon based firm who specialise in "composing" superb initials. As the table linen as sufficiently long I suggest two sets and keep the centre free for flower decorations. Apparently the hems are hand finished. If you have a longer table this table linen can serve as a base and then add your maybe shorter embroidered table linen . There were no napkins with this table linen, but there are 5 napkins with initials G.F. at this table setting and others also at this auction. The last photo shows how the seller sent me the linen!! PlEASE NOTE: You will see a difference in colour at some of the photography. For instance the first and some other photos were taken this morning at 6 o'clock when the sun rose and I deliberately photographed them in this manner with large lens as it makes such joyful warm colours!
