Post-modern wooden Italian Memphis style clock designed by Giovanni Pirondini. Executed by Arti & Mestieri I Legni di Pirondini. Period 1980's. Total height 41,5 cm. Wide 22,5 cm. Operates on a Scholer Swiss made quartz clock. Marked on the bottom with a sticker. In a very good condition, minimal signs of age. Clock works fine. Please see all photo's. Pirondini was born in Cosio Valtellino in 1950, but has lived in Sondrio for years. He attended the Faculty of Architecture at the Milan Polytechnic. His artistic activity is divided between painting and design, for the creation of refined furnishing objects. Painter always, he began to exhibit in collectives around 1970. He has held personal exhibitions in Chiavenna (1983), at the Palazzo della Provincia di Sondrio (1984 and 1987), at the ethnographic museum Tiranese (1986-2010), at the PGI Ethnographic Gallery in Poschiavo (2000).
