Symbolic wine of Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, this Bolgheri Superiore tells the broadest essence of that grandiose territory on the Tuscan coast, where the Bordeaux grapes are able to express themselves at unique levels for Italy. Manual harvest with maniacal selection of the grapes. Fermentation in steel vats with 10-15 day maceration. Aging in barriques, 70% new, for about 18 months, with assembly of the grapes after the first 12 months of aging, and final stop in the bottle for a further 12 months. A mythical wine, a must in every self-respecting cellar.
