Grey white Nephrite jade pendant “carp” –China- 20th Century On offer is an grey-white pale celadon Chinese nephrite jade pendant, beautifully crafted at the front and back, with a depiction of a carp swimming between lotus and seaweed. Detailed notches lines can be seen. Provenance: acquired from inland China. Date: first half 20th Century, 1920-1950 This fine jade pendant passes the scratch test for good hardness, no scratch with sencys hardmetal scratch pen possible! Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color. Also tested for thermal conductivity, which indicates Nephrite jade. Please see all pictures for good impression!
