This is the most classic finish of the entire Sonnet series. This sterling silver checkered finish was first applied to the Parker 75 models in 1964, a year after the introduction of this model following Parker's 75th anniversary. This particularly durable finish has the advantage that the pen is actually only more beautiful in use, due to the fine diamond motif, damage is hardly visible, moreover, it is with silver so that the material goes more 'alive' when it is normally in use.
