A nice selection of well-used aluminium bracelets and anklets. The thin bracelet with the finials in the form of snake-heads was worn by the Borana of Southern-Ethiopia. Decorated with very thin lines and two "eyes" on the finials. 88 mm wide. The small ribbed bracelet is of Fulani-origin from Mali. Very thick ribbed design. 8 cm wide. The small, half-open bracelet with the decorated square is also of Fulani origin. Nice decorations with copper inlays on the top and on the bracelet itself. The square is fixed with a copper nail and can be turned around. 7,5 cm wide. Large knobs at the ends. The very large aluminium anklet also comes from Mali and was worn by the Fulani. Very large decorated circular knobs. The anklet is decorated with fine incisions. Dim. 11 x 9 x 4 cm. All items were collected in the city of Mopti.
