History: painting exhibited at the Salon circa 1885-90 (there is a Salon label on the back, unfortunately fragmentary and difficult to decipher)
Very good condition
Note: Paul Saïn exhibited several paintings with substantially similar titles. It is therefore difficult to know which Salon our painting is linked to. For example at the Blois Salon of 1888: Fisherman on the docks of the Rhône river, near Avignon; Salon of French artists of 1880: The evening; Salon of French artists of 1891: Sunset, around Avignon. Etc.
