BARBARESCO PERTINACE
It offers intense aromas of wild raspberry, with a hint of strawberry. Very pure. Full-bodied, with surprising fruit, from tropical to citrus. It has very fine tannins, but it is wonderfully concentrated, with a long, long finish.
BARBARESCO PIO CESARE
This winery is one of the few remaining in the historic center of the City of Alba. Built in the late '700, it is crossed and bordered by the Ancient Roman walls of Alba Pompeia, which are the foundations and are visible in every corner of it.
A Barbaresco of very classic style: elegance and finesse, ripe and spicy fruit, mixed with tannins present but not overlying. Good structure and concentration. Long life.
Barbaresco is a great wine by itself and should not be diminished with the name of "basic" or "generic" just because no vineyard or sub-zone is indicated on the label.
BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO IL POGGIONE
Brunello di Montalcino Il Poggione is one of the most loved Italian wines abroad and among the most appreciated by international critics. This is thanks to the skilful combination of ancient craftsmanship and wine making tradition with innovative production techniques. The result is a classic Brunello, yes, but which winks at modern wine: elegant and refined, but also less austere and reserved, more decisive, more powerful, but also softer, less aggressive in tannin and acidity, and perfectly enjoyable immediately, without sacrificing the long aging potential.
