The 2252B features a sensitive stereo FM tuner, a highly selective AM tuner, and a low distortion pre-amplifier and amplifier on a single chassis.The FM tuner features a front end which employs a dual gate MOSFET and FM IF unit, a phase locked loop multiplex decoder and an AM tuner, all of which utilize ICs throughout.The amplifier sections permit the connection of two stereo pairs of loudspeakers, a turntable or record changer, two tape recorders, stereo headphones, and an auxiliary source such as an additional tuner or a TV sound source. And last but not least a perfect Phono input for a record player. This receiver with a perfect integrated amplifier has a quality that is indelible and this sound is no longer for sale. The current miniature electronics are no longer as stable and high-quality as they were made in the 70s and 80s.
