He published most of his works in German and enjoyed the admiration of eminent scientists such as Einstein and Max Planck. -Greece 2 Euro Maria Callas 2023 UNC 100 Years Since the Birth of Maria Callas: A Remarkable Journey in the World of Opera 2023 marks a century since the birth of the incomparable Maria Callas, one of the most influential sopranos of the 20th century. Callas didn't just sing music; she infused it into our hearts with the intensity of her voice and her passionate performances. She emerged as the queen of opera, embodying great heroines on the operatic stage. Maria Callas revolutionized the world of lyric singing, brilliantly portraying the grand heroines of opera. -ERASMUS 2 Euro Erasmus Programme Greece UNC Commemorative issue: 35 Years of the Erasmus Programme. Obverse: The coin shows the Treaty document signed by the six founding countries on a background evoking the paving (designed by Michelangelo) of the Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome, where the signing took place on 25 March 1957. ‘Treaty of Rome 50 years’, ‘EUROPE’, and the name of the issuing country appear in the respective languages of the euro area or in Latin. Thus, the legend differs from country to country, but the image is the same. The Treaty of Rome established the European Economic Community and ultimately led to the introduction of the euro in 1999 and the euro banknotes and coins in 2002. The anniversary was celebrated on 25 March 2007. The euro area countries have marked the occasion by jointly issuing this commemorative coin. Its design was selected following a competition organized by the European mints.
