He was a correspondent for the Black Star agency and Life published his coverage of the overthrow of democratically-elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh and the restoration to power of the Shah in 1953. During the 1950s and 60s he worked in Europe and the Middle East with his celebrity, fashion and news photographs published in numerous magazines around the world. Working behind the scenes on the filming of Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby, Hatami was staying at Polanski's Los Angeles house in March 1969, when he encountered Charles Manson whom he promptly sent away. Manson returned in August and murdered Sharon Tate and four other house guests. Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges.
