Shizuoka 2017 - Cask no. 049 for Shinanoya Tokyo 10th Anniversary - b. 2021 - 700 ml
Shizuoka Private Cask For Shinanoya Tokyo 2021 is a single cask whisky from the up-and-coming Shizuoka distillery in Japan, released to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the German independent bottler Sansibar.
The non-peated whisky was distilled in December 2017 using two pot stills: steam-heated Pot Still K, salvaged from the fabled Karuizawa Distillery, and wood-fired Pot Still W.
It then matured for 3 years in ex-bourbon cask #2017-049, before being bottled on 24 May 2021 at 64.6%.
Bottle 105 of only 231 bottles released.
Bottle, always stored upright at a constant temperature of 17°C, and box in excellent condition.
Because of the value of the bottle, I am willing to deliver in Belgium and the Netherlands myself (to be agreed, depending on distance).
