For almost 50 years now, Bolgheri has become synonymous with excellent wines, acclaimed and awarded all over the world; in this small corner of Tuscany, set like a gem between the Maremma and Chianti, in a land usually suited to Sangiovese, the most important international vines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, have found the terroir to best express all the their peculiarities, giving unique, characterful and intensely territorial wines. The Bolgheri Rosso Superiore Ornellaia is the jewel in the crown of the estate of the same name, a Cabernet Sauvignon (almost pure) with a small part of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and a pinch of Petit Verdot, from a careful selection of the property's vineyards; produced with extreme care and only in particular years, it is the quintessence of the Bolgheri terroir which, with each release, collects countless awards and recognitions at a national and international level, constantly confirming its great quality.
