The Macallan Edition series 'The Edition Series' from Macallan is a series of whiskeys from the famous whisky distillery from Speyside in Scotland; The Macallan. Every year a number of barrels are carefully selected and combined. The focus of this series is on the influence of the wood on the whisky. The first series – Macallan Edition The Macallan Edition No. 6 is inspired by the environment surrounding the beautiful Speyside distillery. And in particular the river 'The Spey' that runs through the distillery. This river provides the natural spring water for making the whisky, but is also home to the Macallan Ghillie – the mighty Atlantic Salmon. This edition carefully selected by Master Distiller Steven Bremner, consists of 5 different types of oak barrels.
