2x 1983 Château Labegorce Zédé, Margaux Cru Bourgeois Exeptionnel ----------------------------------------------------------------------- About the domain The vineyard of Château Labégorce Zédé is unusual in that it is spread over three municipalities: Marsac, Soussans and Margaux. The Perrodo family, owners of the castles of Labégorce and Labégorce Zédé (as well as Marquis d'Alesme), decided to combine the two Labégorce vineyards into one cru. About the cuvée These strongly colored wines deliver mature, fresh aromas. They are supple and refined on the palate and have long, delicate tannins. 2x Château La Pirouette Cru Bourgeois Médoc ‘ ------------------------------------------------ These are wines with high aging potential. When young, Médoc wines have a solid tannic side: certain wines cannot be tasted for several years. They then offer a supple and fleshy development and give wines with complex aromatic bouquets of red fruits. Aging in oak barrels brings aromas of roasting and leather. 2x 1978 Château Bellegrave , Listrac Médoc Cru Bourgeois ------------------------------------------------------------ AOC Listrac-Médoc is the smallest appellation of Médoc: it represents 600 ha and produces each 31,000 hl of red wines. The soils are composed of serious Pyrenean and Garonne and clay. Listrac-Médoc are made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The first brings framing to the wine. The second, gives aromatic power and fruity. Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc are also used, but as extra grape varieties. Young, the Listrac-Médoc imposes by its build and its power, with a harmonious mouth and a beautiful volume. However, it reveals a roundness that balances the tannic strength. For example, the Fourcas-Dupré or Clarke chateaux produce wines typical of this AOC.
