An exquisite Japanese ceramic flower vase named "Yaegasumi Ekubo" (Eight-layered Mist Dimple) by Tachikichi (橘吉), one of Kyoto's most prestigious and historic ceramic retailers. This stunning piece features a mesmerizing blue-green crackle glaze (Kannyu) that creates an intricate network of fine lines resembling frost patterns or shattered ice across the entire surface.
Tachikichi was founded in 1752 during the Edo period under the name "Tachibana-ya Kichibei" in the heart of Kyoto's ceramic district at Shijo. For over 270 years, the company has been at the forefront of Japanese ceramics, working with the finest kilns throughout Japan to create exceptional pieces that embody the refined aesthetics of Kyoto culture.
The vase displays a beautiful ovoid form with a narrow mouth, perfect for Ikebana flower arrangements. The Kannyu (crackle) glaze technique creates a captivating visual effect where the turquoise-blue surface is crisscrossed by darker lines, giving the appearance of precious celadon or ancient ice.
