Wall-mounted Hanukkah oil lamp (Hanukkiah) in cast openwork bronze, Morocco, 19th century.

Domestic wall model comprising eight aligned oil cups for the lights of Hanukkah, together with a ninth elevated central cup (shamash).

The finely pierced decoration depicts two stylised confronting birds surrounding a central floral motif and scrolling vegetal elements, characteristic of traditional Judeo-Maghrebi craftsmanship.

Hand-cast in one piece (sand casting), as visible on the reverse.

Beautiful original aged patina with natural oxidation.
Unrestored, preserved in authentic condition.
