卖家的描述
Item Description
A superb example of traditional Japanese porcelain artistry, this elegant Imari-style bowl presents a refined decorative composition deeply rooted in Japan’s Edo-period aesthetic legacy.
The interior features a beautifully hand-painted scenic medallion depicting a tranquil coastal landscape with stylized rock formations, pine, and distant islands—an iconic motif symbolizing longevity and harmony in Japanese culture. Surrounding this central reserve is an intricate arrangement of geometric panels, florals, and lattice designs, enriched with vibrant iron-red, cobalt blue, celadon green, and delicate gilt accents. The exterior is equally refined, decorated with scrolling karakusa arabesque and floral roundels.
This piece demonstrates the sophisticated overglaze enamel technique characteristic of Imari and Kutani traditions, highly appreciated by collectors worldwide for their decorative richness and cultural depth.
Condition is very good for its age, with vivid colors and strong glaze. Minor signs of age and firing imperfections may be present, which are consistent with traditional production and add authenticity. No visible cracks or repairs were observed. Carefully preserved in a private collection in Japan.
An exceptional collector’s piece—both decorative and investment-worthy—suitable for display or inclusion in a serious Japanese ceramics collection.
