Artist Profile

Kazuhiko Sato (佐藤和彦) (b. 1947) is a Japanese ceramic artist born in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture. He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts (Department of Crafts) and studied under Koichi Tamura. His works are known for strong sculptural expression, carved surfaces, and an emphasis on the physical presence of clay.
