A Japanese painter born in Kochi Prefecture.
Active before and after World War II, mainly in the Nikakai.
First selected in the 40th Nika Exhibition in 1950.
Won Special Prize in 1970, became associate member in 1972, full member in 1979.
Received several honors including the Yasuda Art Foundation Prize.
