Elegant lacquered bar cabinet in Chinoiserie style – Mid 20th century

Refined and highly decorative bar cabinet, crafted in sophisticated Chinoiserie style, reflecting the European fascination with Oriental aesthetics.

The piece features a lacquered structure in a deep dark green tone tending towards black, richly enhanced with finely executed gilt decorations. The front doors display a delicate Oriental-inspired landscape with traditional figures, pagoda-style architecture, stylized trees, and birds in flight, creating a harmonious and visually striking composition.

The shaped top with its characteristic undulating profile adds further elegance, while the base is supported by gracefully curved, finely carved and gilded legs, lending the cabinet a light and sophisticated appearance.

Opening the doors reveals a bright ivory-lacquered interior, thoughtfully arranged with a central compartment and two practical side drawers. The cabinet is also equipped with an internal light, activated by a distinctive red push button located inside.

Condition
