Colefax and Fowler was founded in the 1930s by Lady Sibyl Colefax, her talent for creating comfortable and stylish interiors was the secret of her appeal to her influential royal clients.
Nowadays the company has become very important in the luxury world of fabrics, wallpapers and textiles and a global one.
A magnificent damask created using satin appliquéd onto linen makes in this wonderful pair of cushions made with Colefax and Fowler fabric "Tennyson" in "Pearl" color (56% Linen, 25%Viscose, 19% Polyamide) with backside made with a velvet fabric in grey color.
‘Tennyson’ is generous in proportion and lavish in style but remains a very approachable statement design. The contrast between satin appliqué and linen ground embellished with embroidery detailing is a refreshing take on the damask tradition.
