Artist: Shugoro Hasuda 蓮田修吾郎 (1915-2010)
1915: Born in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.
1938: Graduated from the Craft Department of Tokyo School of Fine Arts. Subsequently served as an assistant professor and professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts.
1962: Awarded the Japan Art Academy Prize.
From 1969: Served as a director and executive director of the Nitten (Japan Fine Arts Exhibition).
1975: Became a member of the Japan Art Academy.
1982: Awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, First Class.
