This elegant accessory set originates from Limoges Castel, a French maker associated with the renowned porcelain tradition of Limoges, a region famous worldwide for its fine porcelain craftsmanship since the 18th century. Limoges porcelain is prized for its smooth surface, rich colours and delicate decorative techniques.

The set consists of a pair of cufflinks and a matching tie clip, each featuring a deep cobalt-blue porcelain cabochon decorated with a gold floral motif typical of Limoges decorative style. The porcelain elements are signed Limoges and framed in gold-coloured metal mounts.

The cufflinks are marked “2 Micron Gold”, indicating a relatively thick gold plating often used in higher quality vintage accessories. The tie clip is not gold-plated and therefore shows a slightly different gold tone, although the porcelain motif is identical so the pieces visually pair well together.

The set is presented in the original Limoges Castel cufflink presentation box (no dedicated loop for the tie clip), making it an attractive vintage gift or collector’s accessory.

Condition:
The set is in very good vintage condition. The porcelain cabochons are clean and glossy with no visible cracks or chips, and the gold floral decoration remains crisp. The cufflinks retain their gold plating well. The tie clip has a slightly different gold colour because it is not gold-plated, but it matches the cufflinks nicely due to the identical Limoges porcelain motif. The original presentation box shows light signs of age consistent with storage.
