In Balinese mythology, Barong is the king of spirits and the symbol of health and good fortune. Antique brass Barong statues are often sought after for their detailed craftsmanship and protective symbolism, frequently appearing as tabletop sculptures.
One of the finer examples of a balinese barong with typical shape, in quality brass, super nice artwork. A true beautiful piece with no restorations / repairs and fully original which has an incredible patina and high quality craftmanship.
