■ Description
This item is a decorative plate with a floral motif and Shippo (traditional Japanese pattern) made in Japan.
The plate features a calm white glazed surface decorated with vivid yellow, red, and orange floral designs.
The soft brushwork and balanced composition create an elegant and refined appearance characteristic of Japanese ceramics.
A bold floral motif is placed at the center, while the surrounding space enhances the aesthetic balance, reflecting the refined beauty typical of Japanese ceramic art.
Fine crackle glaze (Kannyu) can be seen across the surface, giving the piece a warm texture and depth.
This crackle is a natural decorative effect produced during the firing process and is not damage or a crack.
The plate comes with its original wooden storage box.
The box inscription appears to read “Tō Shippo” and “decorative plate.”
On the reverse side of the box there is a commemorative inscription, including the date
October 15, Showa 38 (1963).
It is believed that the piece was carefully preserved as a commemorative item.
With its refined style reminiscent of Kyo ware / Kiyomizu ware, this plate is an attractive example of Japanese ceramic art and suitable both as interior decoration and for collectors.
